Full Tang Knife - Beginner to Intermediate

July 13, 2026 - July 17, 2026

Beginner to intermediate skill level. Investment $900 Registration requires $250 deposit, Name, Mailing Address, Phone Number, Email Address, Emergency Contact person. The $650 balance is due two weeks prior to the class. Working closely with Mastersmith Howard Clark each participant will forge, heat treat, grind, polish a full tang knife and begin slab handle construction. Our goal is for each student to walk out with a finished knife. Five days of instruction 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Classes are limited to four participants. All classes run a full week Monday through Friday and are limited to four participants.

The shop is at 115 35th Place, Runnells, IA 50237

Class starts at 9AM. Plan to arrive anytime after 8:30AM and before 9AM each day. Wrap up will be around 5PM each night and may run over. Howard’s focus is for each student to have a quality experience and walk away with a completed knife.

There will be a lunch break. A refrigerator and microwave are available for your use. There are places to dine and Casey’s convenience & Dollar stores in the small towns near by. Five to 10 miles driving distance.

A signed waiver will be required for each student.
